EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — Alabama scored 10 points in the fourth quarter to register a 16-10 come from behind win over Ohio State in the third annual Kickoff Classic in the Meadowlands.

The Buckeyes had a chance to win the game on the final play but a Karsatos to Carter pass fell incomplete in the Alabama end zone.

Costly mistakes in the form of a fumble at the Alabama six yard line, several critical penalties and an ineffective kicking game kept the Buckeyes from building up a substantial early lead.

Ohio State won the statistical battle but lost the important item – the game.

No Buckeye back netted over 38 yards, but quarterback Jim Karsatos connected on 20 passes for 193 yards total.

Chris Spielman paced the Buckeye defense with 16 tackles while Sonny Gordon followed with 10 stops.

Cris Carter caught five passes for Ohio State.
