Columbus, OH — The No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes delivered a commanding performance against the Toledo Rockets, securing a 77-21 victory at Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes’ offense was relentless, scoring touchdowns on each of their first seven possessions.

Quarterback C.J. Stroud showcased his prowess, completing 22 of 27 passes for 367 yards and five touchdowns. His primary targets included Marvin Harrison Jr., who recorded six receptions for 102 yards and two touchdowns, and Emeka Egbuka, who amassed seven catches for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Ohio State’s ground game was equally effective. TreVeyon Henderson initiated the scoring with a 7-yard touchdown run, and freshman Dallan Hayden contributed significantly with 108 rushing yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.

Toledo’s quarterback, Dequan Finn, demonstrated resilience, throwing for 153 yards and two touchdowns while also leading his team in rushing with 70 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown run.

The Buckeyes’ defense maintained pressure throughout, limiting the Rockets to 307 total yards and forcing a turnover. This dominant win elevated Ohio State’s season record to 3-0, while Toledo experienced its first loss, moving to 2-1.

Ohio State’s next challenge will be their Big Ten opener against Wisconsin, as they aim to continue their impressive form.
