2024 Media Guide: Devontae, along with his twin brother Deontae, are a part of Ohio State’s 2024 recruiting class … both of the brothers enrolled in classes at Ohio State in January 2024 … they appear to be the first set of scholarship twins since John and Mike Sullivan were seniors in 1989 … the Armstrongs join a list of brothers on scholarship on same Ohio State team that may not be limited to but includes the Boren brothers (Zach and Jacoby in 2012; and Zach and Justin in 2009 and 2010), the Davidson brothers (Jim and Jeff in 1986 and 1987), the Gwinn brothers (Jayson and Anthony in 1993), the Stablein brothers (Chris and Brian in 1989 and 1990) and the Griffin brothers (Archie and Ray in 1974; Archie Ray and Duncan in 1975; and Ray and Duncan in 1976 and 1977).

High School: Is one of the top-five ranked offensive linemen in the state of Ohio in 2024 … the No. 3-ranked interior offensive linemen in Ohio by On3 … named first team All-Region and All-Ohio in 2023 while helping St. Edward win its third consecutive Division I state title … St. Edward averaged 35.8 points per game and scored 40 or more points six times … credited with 10 “pancake” blocks in a win against Center Grove (Indiana) to open the season.
