1996: Started 11 of the Buckeyes 12 games at outside linebacker (he did not start against Minnesota because the coaching staff elected to start five defensive backs against the Gophers) … finished the year with 51 tackles (seventh on the team) and had nine tackles for loss and a pair of sacks … had three tackles for loss against Minnesota … had season highs of eight tackles against both Wisconsin and Iowa.
1996 Media Guide: Returns for his second year as the starter on the wide side … finished second on the team in tackles last year with 93 … also had three interceptions and four tackles for loss .. . led the defense in playing time with 312 minutes … played good football all year long and played particularly well in the big games, collecting a career-high 11 tackles at Michigan and 10 against both Notre Dame and Penn State … totaled 83 return yards on his three interceptions, including 33 yards at Wisconsin on a key play at the beginning of the second half that probably turned the
