Weight: 306 (2008), 300 (2005-07), 280 (2004)

2007 Media Guide: Fourth-year player and solid right tackle … was a challenger at left guard heading into the 2006 season, but settled in at No. 2 at right tackle … can also play guard and center and is an excellent backup at any of the three interior positions … an intelligent player with good technique and power.

2006: Appeared in 10 games with action in the first eight games and again at Northwestern and in the national championship game.

2006 Media Guide: Third-year player … was redshirted as a freshman and earned his first letter last year … did not play in the first half of the 2005 season, but did see action in the final five games … made huge strides the second half of last year and continued his excellent showing during bowl practice, proving to the coaches that was ready to step in and make a contribution … heads into fall as one of three candidates for the starting left guard spot … can also play tackle and center and will be an excellent backup at any of the three interior positions (had reps at all three this past spring).

2005: Made his college debut against Minnesota on the field goal unit and played in every game after that … recorded playing time at tackle against Illinois and Northwestern.

2005 Media Guide: Redshirted last year as a true freshman … expected to play tackle for the Buckeyes … has good size and quickness, but needs to get stronger in order to be a consistent performer at this level … is a hard worker and is very sound from a technique standpoint … goes into the fall listed behind Kirk Barton on the right side … if the move of Tim Schafer to defensive tackle is permanent, he could quickly figure into the rotation … comes from an excellent high school program and has always been associated with winning teams … has added 15 pounds since last year.

2004: Did not play any games and redshirted.

High School: One of five offensive lineman in this year’s class of recruits … has excellent size and is extremely fluid with great lateral quickness … very sound from a technical standpoint … also played defensive tackle in high school … named to a first-team all-state berth in Class AA as a senior, helping Mt. Carmel to a 12-2 record … played his junior year with a torn ACL and helped lead Mt. Carmel to a 12-2 record … played his junior year with a torn ACL and helped lead Mt. Carmel to a 15-0 record and the state title … was a member of two state championship teams and knows how to win … Rivals.com ranked him as the 39th best offensive lineman prospect in the nation and the 27th best overall prospect in Pennsylvania … listed as the 16th best prospect out of Pennsylvania by SuperPrep … all of those ratings would have been higher had it not been for his knee injury.

Personal: Is the son of John and Judy Skinner … has an older sister, Julia, who attends Purdue … his father, who played football at Bucknell, is a middle school teacher and his mother is a high school teacher … enjoys trout fishing back home and deep sea fishing (a 90 pound tarpon is his biggest catch).
