1998 Media Guide: Entering his fourth year with the football program … had a foot injury this past spring and was not able to kick … missed last spring drills due to a back problem … a one-time walk-on who has earned an Ohio State letter … could be the primary back-up for Dan Stultz this year … member of the academic all-Big Ten team.
1997: Saw action in the Northwestern game.
1997 Media Guide: Walk-on kicker … got his chance last year when Mike Malfatt and Dan Stultz were sidelined with injuries … wound up as the kickoff specialist and earned his first varsity letter … also kicked a 47-yard field goal against Minnesota, the first 40-yard kick by a Buckeye kicker since the 1993 season … the latter kick tied for the fifth longest field goal in Ohio Stadium history … did not practice this past spring after being diagnosed with a fractured vertebra … will be the primary backup for Stultz this year.
1996: Appeared in 11 of 12 games (missed the Purdue game because of a bad back).
1995: Walked on in the fall and kicked off in the Iowa game.
