Post-OSU Update: Stephen Collier retired from football in January of 2017, due in part to an ACL injury he suffered in 2016. He remained at Ohio State and earned a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Sports Management. He is currently in Law School at Ohio State. (updated: Dec. 2023)

responsibility behind J.T. Barrett this spring … Collier took three snaps against Hawai’i in 2015 but otherwise was the third quarterback during the season behind Barrett and Cardale Jones … he earned OSU Scholar-Athlete status last year and is majoring in communications … this summer he was an intern in the Ohio State athletic department’s social media area as part of the Bucks Go Pro initiative.
2015 Media Guide: Stephen red-shirted the 2014 season as a true freshman … he took a considerable amount of snaps during spring drills this year as one of only two healthy, scholarship quarterbacks.

High School: In May 2014 he was one of 41 honors graduates of Lee County High School, graduating with distinction for having a grade point average above 3.90 and with at least six honors courses on his resume … as a football player, Collier was rated the No. 12 dual threat quarterback in the nation by 247Sports as a senior … he passed for more than 4,000 yards, rushed for 1,500 yards and had 78 touchdowns (passing and rushing) at Lee County High School for coach Dean Fabrizio … he accounted for a Lee County school-record 44 touchdowns in 2013 to lead his team to a 10-2 record, the Region 1-AAAAA title and a berth in the Georgia state playoffs … a multi-dimensional signal caller, Collier had some of the best passing numbers in the state as a senior with 2,291 passing yards and 24 touchdowns … he also rushed for 1,021 yards and another 20 touchdowns … he was named Southwest Georgia player of the year … also named Albany (Ga.) Herald player of the year and “people’s choice” player of the year … big games as a senior included 342-yards passing and four touchdowns over Hamilton Harris County and a 165-yard rushing/366-yard total offense game vs. Effingham … was invited to the prestigious ESPN RISE Elite 11 finals in Eugene, Oregon after his junior season … passed for 1,887 yards and 23 touchdowns, and rushed for an additional 485 yards and 11 scores as a junior.
