Post-OSU Update: Se’Von Pittman transferred from Ohio State after his freshman year in 2012. He dealt with a knee injury that year and then decided to transfer in the Spring of 2013 to Akron. He had some success at Akron, recording 91 tackles (12.5 TFLs) in his three year career. (updated: Nov. 2023)

2012 Media Guide: Talented, four-star defensive end prospect Se’Von Pittman was the second prospect to commit to playing for new coach Urban Meyer.

High School: He was a two-time Associated Press Division I all-state first-team selection for coach Ron Johnson at Canton McKinley … he was a Top 100 recruit by every major recruiting service, with rankings
of No. 58 (Scout.com), No. 66 (MaxPreps), No. 95 on the Rivals 250 and No. 98 ESPNU 150 … he
was also a Top 10 senior in the state of Ohio by Rivals.com (3rd), Scout.com (4th) and 247Sports.com (10th), and a SuperPrep All-American rated by that service as the No. 13 player in the Midwest
region and the No. 25 defensive lineman nationally… totaled 34 tackles-for-loss as a junior and senior, including 20 TFLs with eight sacks among his 102 tackles as a senior for a 9-3 regional semi-finalist team … started as a sophomore, as well, and finished his career with 18 quarterback sacks … enrolled at Ohio State in March and in time for the 2012 spring quarter … a knee injury ended his spring midway through the drills … was a high school teammate of Steve Miller, a sophomore defensive lineman at Ohio State.
