2000 Media Guide: It’s not a question if Kelton Lindsay is going to play, it’s only a matter of when the lightning quick Ohio product will take the field. An excellent athlete that came to Ohio State with outstanding high school credentials, Lindsay underwent knee surgery following last season and his rehabilitation will dictate his playing time this year. “Kelton has a lot of athletic ability,” Jon Tenuta, defensive backs coach, said. “He has the potential to be a very good football player.” Lindsay played mostly on special teams last year and was listed as this year’s No. 2 cornerback on the preseason depth chart.

1999 Media Guide: Considered by some the top running back in the state of Ohio and a Top 10 back nationally … Committed to Ohio State in January of 1998 … has tremendous speed … selected first-team Division II all-Ohio by the Associated Press as a senior after rushing for 1,500 yards and 16 touchdowns … a USA Today honorable mention All-American … Led Lebanon to the 1998 Division II state championship with a 27-21 win over Chardon … Scored the winning touchdown in the title game on a 41-yard dash with just 46 seconds remaining … rushed for 1,462 yards as a sophomore and 2,194 as a junior … scored 41 touchdowns as a junior and was the Ohio Player of the Year in his division while leading Lebanon to a 12-1 record and a state playoff berth … the son of Lynda Lindsay.
