2000 Media Guide: Duane Crooks walked on to the Ohio State football team last year with few expectations and a huge heart. A year later, Crooks is a veteran of nine games and one of the team’s top special teams players. A central Ohio native, Crooks was moved from flanker to defensive back this spring. “Duane Crooks is a good addition to the program,” Jon Tenuta, defensive backs coach, said. “He’s a multi-talented safety, cornerback and defensive back. He’s doing a good job as a walk-on for us.”

1999: Played in nine games … logged a total of 14 minutes … played a season-high four minutes against Ohio University.

High School: Attended Dublin Coffman High School, just 15 minutes away from the OSU campus.
