2006 Media Guide: Begins his second season as the Buckeyes’ backup long snapper to Drew Norman … strong and accurate … centers an easy ball to catch … walked-on in the fall of 2003 and was redshirted … has gradually worked his way up the depth chart to the No. 2 spot at long snapper … grew up an Ohio State fan, but never saw a game in the stadium until the fall of 2003 when he was on the OSU sideline.

2005: Was a member of the travel team … got into his first game against Northwestern.

High School: Played middle linebacker and long snapper in high school … was a three-year letterman and two-year starter … won all-county honors as a senior … played baseball for four years and lettered each year as a combination first and third baseman.

Personal: Is the son of Nick and Irene Makridis … has a younger sister who attends Otterbein (2006) and a younger brother in high school … plays the clarinet and the piano … would like to start a band someday (his dad used to have a band) … would play the bouzouki (a Greek instrument that is similar to the guitar) in the band … would have taken Rob Sims as his lead singer off last year’s team … not sure who it would be in 2006.
