… he has earned varsity letters in both 2010 and 2011, and he has played in 19 games for the Buckeyes … last season he made five special teams tackles, including four solo stops … he has made a special teams solo tackle in three consecutive games heading into the 2012 season, with tackles against Penn State, Michigan and Florida in the Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl to end the 2011 season.

2010: Reserve cornerback who was a key contributor to the Buckeye special units … first-year letterman.

High School: Three-year starter at Dublin Scioto High for Coach Karl Johnson … team MVP, all-league, all-Agonis as a junior … team captain as a senior before breaking his wrist … Big 33 game … also was a lacrosse All-American … lax team captain and MVP as a senior.

Personal: Son of Tom and Joanie Rice … has six siblings: Shannon, Shaun (who played football and baseball at Bowling Green/Ohio Wesleyan), Jeff, Nick (played football at Ohio Wesleyan), Jason (playing football at Bowling Green) and Lyndsey (who was killed in an auto accident last November) … has not yet declared a major at Ohio State.
