Post-OSU Update: Tate Martell transferred after the 2018 season, in response to the Buckeyes landing transfer QB Justin Fields from Georgia. Martell went to Miami, where he played briefly in five games with the Hurricanes. He opted out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  In 2021, he transferred to UNLV, but only played two games there (six pass attempts). Martell retired from football with a year of eligibility remaining as he was buried on the Runnin’ Rebels depth chart. (updated: Jan. 2024)
