Post-OSU Update: Ryan Jacoby transferred to Pitt in the Summer of 2021. He played 23 games with the Panthers over two seasons (2022 and 2024), even catching a three-yard pass in 2022. He missed the 2023 season with an injury and his 2024 year was cut short by a another injury. (updated: Aug. 2025)

High School: Four-star prospect according to 247Sports who is Ohio’s No. 8-ranked player … was the second member of the 2019 class to give his verbal commitment … first-team All-Ohio as a junior and senior playing left tackle for Mentor, the 2017 Division I state runner-up … the Cardinals were 13-2 and averaged 41.2 points per game on their way to the state finals in 2017 … Mentor was 11-2 in 2018 and once again featured one of the state’s highest scoring offenses, averaging 36.9 points per game … a finalist for the Tony Fisher Award … coached by Steve Trivisonno … was a member of Mentor’s wrestling team as a freshman and sophomore.
