1997 Media Guide: Came to Ohio State as a tailback but was moved to fullback in the spring … was redshirted last year (as a true freshman) because of a chronic neck stinger … had actually worked his way into the tailback rotation before being hurt and netted 56 yards (including a 24-yard scamper) on 12 carries in an impressive debut against Pittsburgh … has the power to run inside and the speed to get outside and turn the corner … can also catch the ball … was tried some at fullback in the spring and could be used there in the fall … wore No. 36 last year, but will switch to 37 (his high school number) this season … still somewhat of an unknown, but showed a great deal of promise before being injured.
