2024 Media Guide: Mitchell is in his fifth year with the program and has two seasons of eligibility … He has played at both linebacker and at defensive end but has settled in at end, a position he played all of 2023.

2023: After missing both the 2021 and 2022 campaigns because of injury, he had his best season as a Buckeye in 2023, playing in 12 of 13 games and totaling 119 plays on both defense and special teams … Recorded three solo tackles on the season, all of them tackles-for-loss totaling 13 yards with one of those his first quarterback sack … Two of his TFLs came against Western Kentucky, including his quarterback sack, and his third TFL came against Purdue.
