2018 Media Guide: Mitch Rossi is in his second season with the Ohio State football program after initially being an invited walk-on to the team in the summer of 2017 … he is a true sophomore and an OSU Scholar-Athlete.

High School: Rossi played four years of both football and rugby at Franklin High School in Franklin, Tenn., while also competing in basketball for two years … a two-way standout, Rossi played both middle linebacker and running back for the Rebels and head coach Donnie Webb … named Region 3-6A offensive most valuable player and all-state as a senior in 2016 when he helped Franklin advance to the state quarterfinals for its deepest post-season run in five years … accounted for over 1,200 yards on the ground with 19 touchdowns … carried the ball 31 times for 171 yards in a 31-10 playoff win over Memphis White Station … made 77 tackles, including 10 for loss, to go along with two sacks, an interception and forced fumble as a junior … state champion and championship game MVP in rugby.
