2019 Media Guide: Jonah Jackson joined the Ohio State football program in the summer of 2019 as a graduate transfer following a four-year career at Rutgers … is expected to compete for a starting guard position along the offensive line.
Rutgers: Jackson was a honorable mention all-Big Ten pick by the coaches and media in 2018 for the Scarlet Knights, starting 11 of 12 games at right guard … he was part of an offensive line unit that ranked second in the Big Ten and 19th nationally with only 1.33 sacks permitted per game … voted as a team captain … in 2017, Jackson played in six games with five starts at center … earned Academic All-Big Ten honors as well during his time at Rutgers and majored in criminal justice.
High School: Coached by Rick Stroup at Penncrest High School … played mostly left tackle and defensive tackle in high school … had responsibility of protecting the blind side in Penncrest’s pistol offense … named first-team All-Delaware County and All-Central Athletic League as a senior.
