Post-OSU Update: Jeff Cargile failed a drug test before the 1985 Rose Bowl game against USC and never played for the Buckeyes again. He continued his drug use for about 20 years, before getting clean. He moved to Cincinnati and eventually worked his way up to be the head football coach at Taft High School. He won four Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference titles during his tenure, recording a 38-12 record. He was relieved of his duties in 2021. (updated: Jan. 2024)
