Major: Journalism (1995), Undecided (1994)

Weight: 290 (1994-95)

1995: Started all 13 games at left guard … solid, dependable player who was hampered early in the year by a painful turf toe, but still played in every game and always gave great effort … among the leaders in playing time with over 325 minutes … named offensive lineman of the week following the Boston College and Pittsburgh games … transferred to Ohio State from Coffeyville Junior College in the spring of 1994 … came to OSU as a tackle, but was quickly switched to guard … moved into the starting lineup when Juan Porter was moved from guard to center at the start of fall practice in 1994 and started all 13 games that season … majored in journalism.

1995 Media Guide: Will be in his second year as a starter on the left side … started all 13 games last year after transferring from Coffeyville Junior College and was an enormous asset on a line that had only one returning starter … enrolled at OSU at the start of the 1994 Winter Quarter … began spring practice at tackle but. moved to guard when Juan Porter vacated that spot and took over at center … good athlete with excellent football sense and a great attitude … particularly effective as a run blocker … made great strides between games one and 13 last year … could go outside and play tackle if the need arose.

1994 Media Guide: Enrolled at Ohio State last Winter Quarter after transferring from Coffeyville Junior College in Kansas … was tried at virtually every offensive line position, and came out of spring drills as the starter at right guard … with the loss of four starters from last year’s offensive line, the Buckeye coaching staff was excited to add a player with experience and toughness to the fold.

Other: A two-year starter at Coffeyville at offensive tackle … was first team all-conference, the Jayhawk Conference Lineman of the Year and a second team J.C. All-American last fall … also served as team co-captain his last year and helped his team finish 9-2 and rank ninth nationally … squad was 7-4 his first season at Coffeyville … earned all-city honors as a prepster, when he also lettered in basketball and track. … from the same high school that produced Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders … junior college coach was Skip Foster, and high school coach was Larry Becker … had a 3.3 GPA at Coffeyville and has not decided on a major … likes to play basketball, read and draw in his spare time.
