High School: Jace was an All-OCC selection as a senior in football for Olentangy … had the winning touchdown pass in a playoff victory over Dublin Coffman … played wide receiver, linebacker and safety for the Braves … caught 30 passes for nearly 400 yards and five touchdowns as a senior … signed with the Buckeyes to play baseball in the fall of 2020 and was a member of the team in 2022 … was ranked the No. 10 prospect in his class in the state of Ohio.

Personal: His father, Matt, was a standout third baseman at Ohio State and was drafted by the Atlanta Braves out of high school.
