Post-OSU Update: Bri’onte Dunn was dismissed from the Ohio State football program after a violation of team rules. It was reported the dismissal stemmed from a domestic violence incident. After OSU, Dunn has had a couple run-ins with the law, one resulting in an acquittal and the other (drugs, kidnapping) resulting in an indictment. (updated: Dec. 2023)

2015 Media Guide: Hard work on the practice fields have earned fourth-year junior Bri’onte Dunn playing time on special teams and as a running back … he is one of the veterans in the running backs’ room and he will seek even more playing time this season after putting together a fine end to his 2014 season … Dunn is a veteran of 21 games and has 196 career rushing yards with two touchdowns and a 5.8 yards per carry average.

2014: Dunn played in eight games for the College Football Playoff national champions … he had nine
rushes for 63 yards and a 7.0 yards-per-carry average … best day running the football came in the Big Ten championship game vs. Wisconsin when he averaged over 9.0 yards per carry with 47 yards off five carries … played on multiple special teams down the stretch, with 62 special teams plays combined in the final four games of the season vs. Michigan, Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon, or an average of just over 15 plays per game.

2014 Media Guide: Bri’onte Dunn is in his third season with the program and is a sophomore in eligibility after red-shirting the 2013 campaign.

2013 Media Guide: Bri’onte played in 11 games last season as a true freshman and gained 133 yards rushing plus scored two touchdowns for the undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes … he also had one kickoff return for 22 yards … he scored in his first collegiate game – a four-yard rush to cap a 56-10 win over Miami – and he had a personal-best 13 carries for 73 yards rushing vs. Illinois, including a three-yard touchdown run … he netted 29 yards rushing versus Central Florida … he earned his first varsity letter at the conclusion of the season.

High School: Anyone who weighs 220 pounds, runs downhill and accumulates 5,479 rushing yards during a career is going to get a lot of attention, and Bri’onte Dunn certainly garnered his share… named first-team Division I Ohio all-state by the Associated Press as a junior and senior, Dunn rushed for 2,030 yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior – and twice topped 300 yards rushing – and 1,657 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior … rated the No. 11 running back nationally by Rivals.com, No. 12 by ESPNU and No. 7 by Scout.com … the No. 2 senior in Ohio by Scout.com, No. 6 by Rivals.com and No. 7 by 247Sports … Scout.com also had him rated as a five-star recruit, and he was rated No. 138 on the Rivals 250 … he scored 51 touchdowns his final three seasons and was named all-Northeast Inland District first-team, Repository all-Stark County first-team and all-Federal League first-team numerous times … coached by Scott Garcia at GlenOak … played as a freshman and sophomore at Alliance High School and amassed 1,900 yards rushing.
