2024 Media Guide: Brenten, who is universally known around the program as “Inky,” joined the football program in the summer of 2022 and is in his third season on the team … he realized his first collegiate action with in 2023 when he played in four games (Western Kentucky, Purdue, Michigan State and Minnesota) … he was Ohio State’s nominee for the Burlsworth Award, given nationally to the top walk-on.

High School: Brenten was a two-way player at Steubenville H.S., contributing both as a defensive back and wide receiver … also played on Steubenville’s basketball team and competed in track and field … broke the school record in the 400m last spring (49.46) … selected to play in the Ohio North/South Senior All-Star game … first team all-conference, all-district and all-area as a senior … caught 29 passes for 616 yards and eight touchdowns from his wide receiver position … honorable mention All-Ohio on the basketball court.
