Post-OSU Update: Lejond Cavazos transferred to North Carolina in the Spring of 2022. He played 12 games there over two years, making 18 tackles and 2 PBUs. For the 2024 season, he transferred to Michigan State, but played only two games. (updated: Feb. 2025)

High School: Lejond Cavazos was a composite four-star recruit by 247Sports.com, Rivals and ESPN who ranked among the top 25 safeties nationally … played in the ESPN Under Armour All-American Game … won the fastest man event at The Opening Regional in February of 2019 … played both cornerback and safety at IMG Academy … had his junior season cut short after five games due to injury, but when fully healthy as a sophomore, earned playing time on a team that had 21 seniors who were on FBS rosters the following fall.
